Insight Global is looking for a Linux/Unix Administrator for one of our largest clients here in Cleveland. This position is responsible for planning, installation, configuration, monitoring, and on-going support of the Cleveland-Cliffs Steel Unix Server environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled and experienced as a Unix Server Administrator. Their responsibilities will include installing and configuring of Unix based physical and virtual servers, patching and monitoring of Unix based environments. They will support application software stacks running on Unix based servers while working with application developers to investigate and resolve technical issues. They will also be responsible for developing and coding shell scripts as needed for automation and monitoring.
· 3-5 years minimum of Linux experience in a production environment
· Proficient in supporting Apache with Tomcat applications or equivalent environment
Working experience with messaging platforms/environments, like MQSeries/DecMesssageQ/ActiveMQ
