Job Description
An employer is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations by performing preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing repairs, assisting with equipment installations, and ensuring facility systems remain operational. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment to replace defective components
- Support the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment
- Perform minor electrical repairs and assist with facility improvement projects
- Maintain building systems, including lighting and other facility infrastructure
- Operate maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery safely and effectively
- Maintain an organized maintenance shop, including inventory and supplies
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance activities on time
- Coordinate with production teams and leadership to minimize equipment downtime
- Monitor and assist third-party contractors performing maintenance work
- Follow all safety procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Support additional operational needs as assigned
This position is based in a manufacturing and industrial setting. The individual may be exposed to varying temperatures, moving machinery, forklifts, and other industrial equipment. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
Compensation: $44k-54k. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
- Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and manufacturing equipment
- Working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations
- Reliable work history with strong attendance and dependability
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices
Please note the following physical requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and material handling equipment as required
- Adequate visual acuity and depth perception to safely perform assigned duties
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment
- Experience performing preventative maintenance programs
- Familiarity with equipment installation and facility maintenance projects
