Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a RHEL Architect with deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and a strong foundation in modern enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 5–6+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including recent experience supporting and managing RHEL 8, 9, and 10 environments. This individual will serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, providing day-to-day operational support, troubleshooting complex issues, managing enterprise Linux environments, and leading RHEL upgrade and modernization initiatives. The Architect will be responsible for assessing existing customer environments, identifying risks and optimization opportunities, and delivering strategic recommendations that improve performance, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
In addition to extensive RHEL experience, candidates should possess 2–3+ years of experience with OpenShift, with a particular focus on OpenShift Infrastructure, including cluster architecture, platform services, node management, storage, networking, and overall platform operations. The successful candidate will work directly with customer stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication and consulting skills while translating business requirements into technical solutions. This role requires a combination of hands-on technical expertise and architectural leadership, enabling customers to successfully deploy, operate, and evolve their Red Hat ecosystem. Experience supporting organizations within the State, Local Government, and Education (SLED) sector is highly desirable and will be considered a strong plus. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, consultative, and passionate about helping organizations maximize the value of their Red Hat investments through best practices, operational excellence, and long-term infrastructure strategy.
