Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Senior OpenShift Administrator to support and manage enterprise OpenShift environments, focusing on platform stability, troubleshooting, and automation. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day environment support, including handling ticketing workflows, troubleshooting issues, managing escalations, and documenting handoffs and root cause analyses. The role requires strong experience managing and deploying applications within OpenShift, as well as diagnosing issues across clusters, nodes, deployments, and platform services. The ideal candidate will have 4–5+ years of hands-on OpenShift experience, including end-to-end deployments and problem resolution, along with 6+ years of overall DevOps experience in complex environments. Experience using Ansible to automate OpenShift operations is critical. Candidates with Red Hat certifications, experience with other Kubernetes platforms, or a background in telecommunications environments are highly preferred. Additional exposure to RHEL, Red Hat Satellite, and related Red Hat technologies will be considered a strong plus. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, production support environments.

Required Skills & Experience
• 4-5+ years of OpenShift experience, including the following
○ Experience with environment support, ticketing, troubleshooting, escalation workflows and documenting handoffs/RCA notes
○ Experience with application management and deployments
○ Strong troubleshooting experience across OpenShift clusters, applications, deployments, nodes, and platform services
○ Experience with end to end OpenShift deployments and problem diagnosis
• 6+ years of overall DevOps experience
Experience using Ansible to help automate the OpenShift environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Any Red Hat certifications (preferably within OpenShift)
• Experience with other Kubernetes technologies
• Experience working in a Telecommunications environment
Experience with RHEL, Red Hat Satellite, or other Red Hat technologies
