Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager on behalf of our EPC client to support a leading global filtration manufacturer, at multiple facilities in the Gastonia, NC area. They specialize in the design and manufacture of automotive, industrial, air, and water filtration solutions for customers worldwide.
This individual will be responsible for managing plant transformation, facility retrofit, and layout optimization projects across several manufacturing and warehouse locations. The goal is to centralize all operations from multiple locations to one. The role is highly cross-functional and requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as you will partner with operations, engineering, maintenance, contractors, and site leadership teams to keep projects on track.
While technical teams will own the execution and subject matter expertise, the Project Manager will be responsible for driving schedules, coordinating resources, removing roadblocks, and ensuring priorities remain aligned across all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate complex facility transformation, retrofit, and plant layout projects.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and budget forecasts.
• Drive project execution by facilitating communication between operations, engineering, maintenance, vendors, and leadership teams.
• Organize project teams, define responsibilities, and ensure accountability across all workstreams.
• Monitor project progress, staffing, costs, and timelines, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, constraints, and roadblocks, and proactively develop mitigation plans.
• Coordinate contractor and vendor activities, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and meet project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality, safety, and operational standards.
• Support multiple manufacturing and warehouse facilities within the local region, requiring regular travel between sites.
• Facilitate project meetings, track action items, and drive projects to successful completion while minimizing disruption to plant operations.
Success in this role requires:
• Strong project management and schedule management experience in manufacturing, industrial, EPC, or facility environments.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing initiatives and drive alignment across diverse teams.
• Proven experience removing obstacles and keeping projects moving in fast-paced operational environments.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, or any related field along with 5 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment or industrial setting, OR at least 10 years of relevant experience in managing heavy manufacturing projects if without degree
• Relevant experience: Managing projects within a manufacturing environment or industrial setting, coordinating launches for new production equipment
• Must be able to manage a project team in a fast paced and pressured environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications; Excel. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Strong industrial project background
• MS Project or scheduling software
• Manufacturing of air conditioning, chiller systems, automotives, etc.
• Experienced in managing complex layout changes in a manufacturing plant
• Lean Manufacturing background in a plus for this role
