Job Description

Lead and manage the onsite materials team, including buyers and supply chain professionals
Oversee material movement, inventory accuracy, and cycle counting processes
Direct management of 3 onsite buyers and 1 supply chain specialist
Partner closely with Operations through a dotted-line reporting structure
Ensure hourly material handlers and cycle counters align with materials and operations objectives
Manage supplier relationships and localized purchasing activities
Lead and support full inventory counts and continuous inventory improvement initiatives
Monitor direct, indirect, and spare parts inventory to support production needs
Drive process adherence, consistency, and operational efficiency across the facility

Required Skills & Experience

- 5-10 years of Materials Management experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment, with strong end-to-end ownership of materials flow from supplier through production
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven leadership experience managing buyers and supply chain teams, along with direct oversight of inventory control and material movement within a plant setting
- Deep expertise in inventory accuracy and control, including ownership of cycle counting programs, full physical inventories, root cause analysis, and audit readiness
- Strong MRP/ERP proficiency and data-driven planning capability, with a track record of preventing shortages, managing demand, and improving material flow
- Hands-on experience across warehouse, logistics, and production support, including working closely with hourly material handlers, supporting line-side delivery, and navigating schedule changes

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, etc.)
SAP experience
