Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a large, mission‑critical healthcare network environment. This role is hybrid with regional travel required based on networking needs. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure while also serving as a senior technical resource for the team. This individual will mentor junior engineers, contribute to and support networking projects, and help drive operational stability and continuous improvement across a complex healthcare environment.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience installing and supporting enterprise network systems
- Must be comfortable with regional travel based on networking needs
- Strong hands‑on experience with routers, switches, cabling, UPS, and network hardware
- Knowledge of network protocols, routing protocols, wireless, and broadband
- Tier 2 network troubleshooting and escalation experience
- Strong understanding of IPAM / DNS / DHCP
- Ability to independently implement moderate‑ to high‑risk network changes
- Experience working in high‑visibility environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Willingness to obtain CCNP or higher within first year of hire

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Prior experience in a healthcare environment
- Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE, etc.)
- Experience leading or contributing to networking projects
- Familiarity with change management processes
