Job Description

This individual would : Apply standards and engineering fundamentals to design relocation packages for overhead and underground electric distribution facilities for a major utility company, including designing, sizing, and specifying items in accordance with distribution and NCDOT standards. Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication by collaborating with senior engineering, utility coordination teams, environmental specialists, NCDOT personnel, distribution linemen, and homeowners/customers. Execute, manage, and report on current workload requirements while prioritizing and managing 8–10 concurrent projects with the ability to shift focus as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day issues, prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches, and store and file all documents in compliance with ISO processes and standards. Complete job packages using Bentley Utility Designer, MicroStation, GIS/Argus database, Maximo, Pole Foreman, and Smartsheets.

Required Skills & Experience

- Associates degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience
- Working knowledge of primary and secondary distribution systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

** Needs to be able to pass a drug screening and motor vehicle check - Valid driver license and clean driving record required **

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Bachelors Degree
- Experience w/Bentley Utility Designer, MicroStation, GIS/Argus database, Maximo, Pole Foreman, Smartsheets.
- CAD Platform experience
