Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a full-time Electrical Engineer on behalf of a nationally based, full-service, multi-discipline engineering and construction organization. This individual will serve as a key contributor on the electrical team within the Civil Department, supporting a wide range of engineering projects. The role requires independent engineering judgment in the evaluation, selection, and application of electrical design techniques and standards. The Electrical Engineer will prepare, review, and modify construction drawings while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and accepted engineering practices. Responsibilities include performing site inspections at telecommunications locations, including ground, rooftop, and raw land sites. The role also involves preparing technical reports related to tower inspections and mappings. Collaboration with other engineering disciplines is a core part of the position to ensure accurate specifications and coordinated designs. The engineer will develop expertise in client-specific equipment standards and project requirements. This role may also support additional engineering functions as business needs evolve. Required Skills & Experience

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering
• Successful completion of the Power version (or equivalent) of the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam
• Strong knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniques
• Ability to independently produce professional-level arc fault calculations and labeling
• Experience preparing or modifying detailed construction drawings
• Ability to conduct site inspections and travel as required
• Ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and meet insurance requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting telecommunications, commercial, residential, or industrial engineering projects
• Familiarity with electrical standards such as NEC, NFPA 780, and Motorola R56
• Experience working on multi-discipline engineering projects
• Prior exposure to designing commercial-grade photovoltaic (PV) facilities
• Experience coordinating closely with cross-functional engineering teams
