Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our growing team in our North America Substations business unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent communication skills to ensure seamless collaboration among all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Coordination:
Coordinate the overall engineering scope for projects.
Lead internal engineering meetings, track and follow up on open items throughout the design and construction phases.
Facilitate cross-discipline reviews to ensure alignment among all engineering disciplines and compliance with relevant customer and industry specifications/standards.
Technical Point of Contact:
Serve as the main technical point of contact for all parties involved in the project, including but not limited to customers, construction teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
Maintain a holistic understanding of project specifications and scope, providing answers or collaborating with the design team to address technical questions and concerns.
Drawing Review and Quality Control:
Ensure designs are reviewed according to discipline-specific checklists and verify the accuracy of revision and title block information on all drawings.
Work with document control to release engineering packages to customers and ensure all comments are addressed
Deliverables Tracking:
Track deliverables for the procurement of equipment and services, ensuring specifications align with the project purchasing schedule.
Organize and manage documentation from vendors and subcontractors to ensure the design team has access to the most up-to-date information for their designs.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree or higher
7 or more years of experience working on substation projects. *Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa
Preferred requirements: Licensed Professional Engineer; Prior experience in Engineering Design for utility power projects
Experience with AutoCAD
Strong verbal and written skills in English and knowledge of ANSI and IEC standards
