Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Junior Configuration Technician to support the launch of a new IT configuration center for a top enterprise client. This role will be part of the initial phase of operations in a 1,500 sq. ft. warehouse workspace dedicated to inventory management and hardware configuration. The technician will work hands-on with a full catalog of IT equipment, following structured processes to configure, deploy, and track devices in support of ongoing projects. This is a great opportunity for a junior-level technician looking to grow within a structured, process-driven IT environment.

Configure and deploy IT hardware including PCs, phones, routers, and peripherals
Fulfill ServiceNow requests based on project build materials
Track inventory and assets using Excel and inventory management tools
Follow standardized configuration and deployment procedures from engineering and operations
Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and configuration workspace
Collaborate with engineering teams and internal stakeholders
Provide feedback to help improve configuration and deployment workflows

***Pay $15-$25/hr***

Required Skills & Experience

CompTIA A+ Certification (or equivalent)
2–3 years of hands-on PC technician experience
Real-world experience deploying PCs and printers
Strong understanding of IT hardware and terminology (routers, switches, peripherals)
Proficiency with Excel
Experience using basic inventory or asset management platforms
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field
Familiarity with TSIP (Technical Standards and Implementation Practices)
Experience working in a configuration, staging, or deployment center
