Job Description

• Administration & Operation - Administering, deploying, and maintaining OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) on bare-metal on-premise data centers.
• Migration Strategy - Assisting with the migration of VM workloads from VMware vSphere or Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) to OpenShift Virtualization using tools like the Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV).
• Automation - Using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and/or Python to automate the migration of virtual machines and related infrastructure at scale.
• Mentorship & Enablement - Acting as a subject matter expert (SME), mentoring customer teams on best practices for Day-2 operations.
• Troubleshooting - Resolving complex issues related to networking, storage, and application integration



A client of Insight Global is looking for an OpenShift Virtualization Consultant. This person will be responsible for designing, deploying, administering, and operating OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) in on‑premises bare‑metal environments, with a strong focus on OpenShift Virtualization. This role requires 3–4+ years of hands-on experience with OpenShift Virtualization, Kubernetes, Linux and Windows operating systems, containers, and integrated networking and storage solutions. The consultant will lead and support VM migration initiatives from VMware vSphere or Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) to OpenShift Virtualization using tools such as the Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV), while developing and executing scalable migration strategies. The role also involves leveraging automation through Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and/or Python to streamline migration workflows and infrastructure management. Acting as a trusted advisor, the consultant serves as a subject matter expert, providing mentorship and enablement to customer teams on best practices for Day‑2 operations, troubleshooting complex issues across networking, storage, and application integration layers, and delivering high‑quality consulting services aligned to customer business objectives.
