Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Release Manager to lead end-to-end release management for a portfolio of highly complex, business-critical applications. This role is focused specifically on release execution, governance, and oversight—not hands-on development or scripting.
The Senior Release Manager will be responsible for owning multiple applications, overseeing release readiness, approving release-related work and side projects, and ensuring all dependencies are identified and resolved prior to deployment. This individual will act as the primary point of accountability for assigned applications, partnering closely with development teams, Lines of Business (LOBs), and occasionally end users to ensure releases are delivered on time and with minimal risk.
This role requires strong technical fluency, exceptional organization and follow-up skills, and the ability to confidently lead cross-functional release activities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This is 3x onsite in Charlotte, NC.

Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of experience in application release management or related roles
• Strong background in:
○ Deployment planning
○ Change management
○ Release coordination
• Experience supporting financial systems or regulated environments preferred
• Solid understanding of:
○ Software architecture
○ Agile methodologies
○ CI/CD concepts
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional meetings and drive accountability
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable working with technology leaders and senior stakeholders
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Prior coding or technical background (not hands-on required)
• Exposure to:
○ AI tools
○ Python
○ Ansible XLR
○ Java
○ Informatica or other ETL/data integration tools
