Internal Auditor – Wholesale Lending

Insight Global is looking for an Internal Auditor with a focus on Wholesale Lending for one of our large financial clients. This person will support the execution of wholesale lending audits, working closely with Audit Managers and Directors to perform audit fieldwork across lending and origination processes. Day to day, this includes conducting walkthroughs, testing key controls, and documenting audit results related to commercial lending activities, with a strong emphasis on commercial real estate (CRE) lending and loan origination. This role will partner directly with business stakeholders to understand processes, request and evaluate evidence, and validate control design and effectiveness. The auditor will contribute to issue identification and support clear, well‑documented audit conclusions while maintaining strong communication, attention to detail, and a proactive execution mindset.

3+ years of Internal Audit experience within a financial services environment
Experience supporting audit fieldwork, including walkthroughs, control testing, and documentation
Exposure to lending processes, risk, or credit‑related audits
Strong communication skills and ability to work proactively with audit managers and directors

Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lending experience
Loan origination experience, particularly within wholesale or commercial banking
Experience auditing underwriting, portfolio management, asset management, or servicing activities
Familiarity with audits involving real estate or mortgage‑backed loans
