This role is for an experienced construction estimator who takes ownership of accuracy, consistency, and results. The Estimator produces detailed material takeoffs and cost estimates that directly impact purchasing, scheduling, installation efficiency, and profitability. Performance is measured through clear metrics, and success depends on precision, accountability, and an understanding of how estimates affect downstream operations. Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of direct construction estimating experience with full responsibility for material takeoffs
• Ability to read and interpret residential and commercial plans, details, schedules, and specifications
• Hands-on experience estimating exterior cladding systems (fiber cement, vinyl, engineered wood, metal, or rainscreen)
• Proficiency with digital takeoff software (ZZ Takeoff required; similar platforms acceptable)
• Strong understanding of installation methods, material behavior, waste factors, and moisture management
• Proven track record of high estimating accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously with minimal supervision
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and general proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to attend occasional site visits
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Prior field experience installing siding or exterior cladding
• Experience with production homebuilders or multifamily/commercial projects
• Familiarity with construction ERP systems and project management platforms
• Knowledge of regional building codes related to exterior systems
• Experience with major manufacturer product lines and specifications
OSHA 10 or 30 certification
