Job Description
Ahold Delhaize is executing a large-scale, global information security maturity initiative focused on validating security controls and ensuring projects meet defined security requirements prior to final approval. We are seeking senior-level Cybersecurity SMEs with a control validation, compliance, or IT audit mindset to act as final validators within this program.
This role is highly project-oriented and centered on security validation—not engineering or hands-on remediation. The ideal candidate understands security controls deeply, knows what “good evidence” looks like, and can confidently approve or reject work based on alignment to established requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
Act as a security control validator, ensuring security requirements have been fully met before project finalization
Review Jira tickets tied to security requirements and control implementation
Validate submitted evidence (attestations, screenshots, documentation) against defined security requirements
Determine whether evidence clearly and accurately demonstrates control effectiveness
Approve tickets that meet requirements or send them back with clear, professional feedback when evidence does not align
Process an average of 6–8+ validation tickets per day
Partner with Security Architecture teams after initial high-level validation is complete
Support a strategic, global security maturity initiative, with the ability to assist in adjacent efforts as needed
Communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders across IT, security, and leadership
