Job Description

Design and build advanced applications for Android devices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Work with RESTful APIs and integrate backend services
Implement offline data synchronization and cloud storage solutions
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
Ensure compatibility with Android 8.0 and above

Required Skills & Experience

Experience with generative AI - priority!!
DaiSE & Chatbot experience
Experience with cloud technologies (Azure preferred)
Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin programming languages
Experience with Android SDK and Android Studio
Knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Understanding of Google's design principles and Material Design guidelines
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Processing, etc.
8+ years of performing software engineering activities
2+ years of Android development experience
Published one or more Android apps in Google Play Store
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Using testing tools (JUnit, Mockito, Mocha, Selenium)
Using source control tools GitHub.
Using CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Ansible)
Participating in Scrum or other agile methodologies
Leveraging the latest advancements in AI/ML and data engineering
