Job Description
One of Insight Global's clients is looking to hire two fully remote AV Design Engineers to support a shared service for a growing technology infrastructure company.
The AV Engineer is responsible for pre-sales and post-sales engineering including design discovery meetings, site surveys, system design, shop drawings and engineering handoff meetings. The engineer will work directly with the AV team to ensure project deliverables are created in a timely manner and with exceptional accuracy. They will meet with customers to understand functional design needs, budgets, and review scope. They will create comprehensive A/V systems designs including video routing, conferencing, audio, control and network for various facilities across the country.
This individual must also be able to interpret technical RFP's, read engineering drawings (floorplans, blueprints, elevation drawings, etc.) and discuss high level AV technology with clients.
This will be a fully remote position, open to candidates working from home anywhere across the US. There may be very rare travel to client locations as requested. Core hours are 8AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of AV system design experience.
• Avixa CTS Certification
• DSP Certification
• AV Design Certification
• Experience using design software such as AutoCAD, BlueBeam Revu, Visio, Stardraw, etc.
• Must be proficient in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Willing to travel up to 10% to client sites
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- CTS-D (Design) certification preferred
- Biamp or QSC preferred for DSP cert
- Crestron or Extron preferred for AV Design cert
