Job Description
An employer in Charlotte is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer/EIT that supports overhead and underground line design by conducting analyses, developing design options, and preparing deliverables such as PLS CADD models, drawings, estimates, and specifications. They perform routine tasks including structure loading, sag/tension calculations, and clearance checks, while ensuring compliance with NESC, ASCE, and client standards. The role includes independently executing small projects or assisting senior engineers on larger ones, collaborating with project teams to produce high quality designs, and providing field data collection and construction support as needed

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate*
o Candidates without EIT cert can get the job but will be expected to obtain EIT cert for career progression
• Familiarity with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, or similar transmission line design software
