Job Description

The role focuses on completing instrumentation and controls (I&C) engineering tasks for assigned projects, independently evaluating and adapting standard engineering methods to meet project needs. The engineer produces key deliverables such as instrument indexes, DCS/PLC documentation, CEMS data sheets, I/O lists, and process control narratives, while ensuring accuracy and quality across all project documents. They may guide junior staff, support studies and specifications, evaluate proposals, and recommend control system components. The role also involves directing drafting personnel, staying current on industry techniques, and applying practical engineering knowledge to solve problems and support both internal teams and customer needs.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited engineering program
- Strong background in instrument and control systems.
- 15+ years of instrumentation and controls engineering experience within the power industry.
- Training and experience with distributed control systems (ABB, Emerson Ovation, Siemens T3000, MarkVIe, GE MicroNet).
- Knowledge of control systems for gas boilers and turbines.
- Values ethics, professionalism, and maintains confidentiality
- Possesses advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Engineering and Computer Software (MS Office, AutoCAD, 2D &/or 3D CAD, BlueBeam, Revit, NavisWorks, etc.)
