Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer and Reporting Lead to oversee the maintenance and development of Tableau-based dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, Python, and data workflows, with experience supporting end-to-end data flow processes. This role involves managing loss forecast reports for commercial loans, analyzing data for risk and compliance purposes, and collaborating closely with reporting and analytics teams.

- Lead and support a team of reporting professionals, providing guidance and oversight.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance Tableau reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Understand and manage end-to-end data workflows, including data sourcing, transformation, and loading processes.
- Utilize SQL, Python, and Alteryx (a plus) to support report generation, data manipulation, and automation.
- Manage loss forecast reports related to commercial loans, aiding in analysis of loss amounts and CCAR (Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review) requirements.
- Operate primarily within Hadoop environments, with familiarity in other databases as needed.
- Build new SQL queries and optimize existing data structures to support reporting needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data flow, reporting, and data quality.

Required Skills & Experience

- - 4-5 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence reporting, or related fields.
- - Proficiency in SQL, with experience working in Hadoop environments.
- - Strong knowledge of Python for data manipulation and workflow automation.
- - Experience supporting Tableau reports and dashboards, with a solid understanding of data flow and architecture.
- - Ability to understand and work with complex data structures.
- - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
