ur client is seeking is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our Implementation Group. This role focuses on production preparation and the launch of new EV battery manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead procurement, validation, installation, and pre-production trials for EV battery manufacturing equipment.
Develop and maintain detailed schedules and budgetary controls for assigned areas.
Create battery manufacturing process plans and machine specifications aligned with the Clients Production System principles, industry standards, and continuous improvement.
Apply knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and civil design standards to:
Define engineering criteria and provide design feedback.
Ensure proper sizing, routing, material selection, component installation, and related design choices.
Prepare explanatory documents and drawings for clear communication of job scope, execution plans, progress, and issue analysis.
Collaborate with stakeholders including machine vendors, contractors, service providers, and internal teams across functional and international boundaries.
Plan and monitor equipment installation, identify field issues, and coordinate with construction teams for countermeasures.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field with 5+ years of equivalent work experience in an engineering role.
Experience with production preparation of battery manufacturing equipment, including procurement, validation, installation, pre-production trials, and launch (3 years required, 5 years preferred).
Experience creating process plans and machine specifications using lean manufacturing principles.
Experience leading capital projects, including creating and maintaining detailed schedules, budgetary control, and KPI-based progress reporting (3 years required, 5 years preferred).
Experience with AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo or similar, including ability to read, interpret, and modify 2D and 3D technical drawings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate or above).
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (intermediate or above).
Ability to travel for business, both domestic and international (25%, up to 50% during peak times).
Ability to work weekends and during shutdowns such as July and December.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Advanced Engineering degree (higher than Bachelor’s).
Battery Production Engineering experience (NAMC and/or TMNA).
Experience directing structured trials of manufacturing equipment to assess and achieve engineering design, performance, and product quality criteria.
Experience with battery manufacturing processes such as electrochemistry, slot die coating, roll-to-roll coating, laser cutting, and vision inspection systems.
Experience with automation equipment and controls, including PLC logic programming.
Experience with common PLCs, MES systems, and troubleshooting issues.
