Job Description
Our client is looking for a Sr. Data Scientist to join their team in Charlotte, NC. As the Sr. Data Scientist, you candidate will be collaborating with Loyalty, Marketing, Finance, and Data teams to deliver data-driven insights that drive strategic and tactical decision-making. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building Machine Learning and Statistical models, interpreting results for business stakeholders, and integrating those insights into operational excellence initiatives. Responsibilities shown below:
• Lead the design and implementation of high-impact data science projects involving ambiguous problems with incomplete data.
• Drive end-to-end data science project lifecycle from business problem understanding, data collection, preprocessing to deployment and performance monitoring.
• Translate complex model and statistical outputs into clear, actionable insights for Loyalty, Marketing, and Leadership teams.
• Lead engagement across functions and communicate insights to partners. Frame insights in terms of business impact, risks, and trade-offs.
• Implement CI/CD and automation, performance monitoring and tuning, leveraging AI Agent structures to manage and streamline activity.
• Mentor junior team members in their code development and data management, driving best practices in code management (Git), testing, review and release processes.
• Foster a data-driven culture by promoting experimentation, curiosity, and evidence-based decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience
- Must be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week
- 7-10+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist
- Experience deploying models and solutions into production environments
- Proven experience working in customer-centric domains, such as e-commerce, retail, or other industries where understanding customer behavior and delivering personalized solutions is critical
- 5+ years of experience working with Python for data modeling
- 5+ years of experience working with SQL
- Hands-on experience on cloud-based platforms, along with hands-on experience on cloud-based platforms
- Fantastic verbal and writing communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting a Global organization
- Experience working with Databricks, specifically building pipelines, querying and processing tables, etc.
- Experience with Power BI, specifically to build joins, aggregated files, etc.
