The Head of Payments is responsible for developing and driving the vision, strategy and execution of
secure and efficient payment solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate is an innovative thinker with
deep expertise in the Payments ecosystem including traditional and emerging payment technologies.
This role will sit at the intersection of client insight, market intelligence, innovation, and business
strategy and ensure First Horizons payments product set is driving growth, differentiation, and long term value.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead development of a multi-year product strategyincluding emerging payments (stablecoins,
cryptocurrencies, digital assets, and blockchain)aligned with business objectives, client needs and
competitive positioning.
End-to-end product ownership from research/development through profitability.
Anticipate and adapt industry trends.
Evaluate and manage relationships with technology providers, processors, networks and other third party providers.
Ensure all products adhere to relevant risk controls, regulations, and laws.
Work closely with key internal partners including finance, client experience, operations, technology,
digital banking, marketing, and others to deliver seamless and secure payment experiences.
Define KPIs and track performance for continuous optimization, adoption, cost-efficiency and client
satisfaction.
