Network Design Engineer

An employer is looking to add a Network Design Engineer to their team in Charlotte, NC. This person will join a team that is responsible for auditing and supporting a portion of their IT security environment. This person will work cross functionally with analysts and engineers, to ensure the network is mature and their applications are supported. The engineer will support the audit team, as they talk to internal application teams to understand how their application works, how they integrate with other applications, and the dependencies. It will be their job to ensure that the application is kept secure and that they understand what is required if the application needed to be recovered or rebuilt. They will be responsible for the network design of the internal environment, as well as the environment that their customer applications will be running on.

This is a great opportunity for someone aspiring to be an architect, as they will have the opportunity to grow into an architect level role. They need to have a big picture understanding of the environment and be able to make recommendations on how to improve and mature the environment.

5-10 years of experience as a Network Engineer
Extensive experience designing or architecting networks
Experience working with Palo Alto firewalls
Experience working with Cisco switches
Experience working with F5 load balancers

Experience working with A10 load balancers
