Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Field Service Technician IV to serve as a consultant and subject matter expert for all integrated equipment at a newly launched distribution center. This individual will collaborate with internal teams and provide direct support to the end-client, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of advanced automation systems.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting new client implementations and a strong commitment to the long-term success and growth of the team.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the technical lead for integrated systems including:
○ AutoStore robotics
○ Sorters
○ Singulators
○ TGW/FORTNA conveyors
○ MDR systems
• Perform and oversee:
○ System assessments
○ Commissioning and installation
○ Preventive maintenance
○ Repairs and troubleshooting
○ Technical training for staff and end-users

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with:
○ PLCs, electrical and mechanical systems, HMIs
○ Reading and interpreting mechanical/electrical schematics
• OSHA 10 certification (required)
• Proficiency in CMMS reporting and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong technical skills in diagnosing and repairing industrial control systems and mechanical equipment (e.g., engines, pneumatic tools, conveyors)
• Strong customer-facing skills and ability to cultivate a positive, customer-centric culture
• Ability to de-escalate challenging situations
• Committed to the practice of Servant Leadership
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills for delivering both classroom and hands-on training
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including mentoring and coaching junior technicians
