Finance and Insurance Accountant

Insight Global is looking to hire on a Finance and Insurance Accountant for a large automotive company. This will be starting out as a 6-12 month contract before converting to FTE on the Warranty Accounting Team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monthly statement processing: Receiving in credits and debits from warranty vendors to our GL, Submitting daily journal entries, Reviewing vendor balances for payment
- Vendor statement corrections: Making accounting balance adjustments for discrepancies and outstanding balance errors on our GL and dealership GL, Submitting adjustment entries for errors and control issues
- Dealer account adjustments: Will be responsible for dealership GL maintenance and adjustments, For assigned stores
- Recon: Responsible for corporate account maintenance and balance of accounts, Daily inquiries, Responsible for assisting stores with their accounts and balances

- Experience with Excel
- Professional and strong communication skills through Email and phone and in person interactions
- Finance and Accounting basic functions and principles
- Understand debits and credits
- Must be able to use accounting software and other forms of technology (old and new)

- 1-3 experience in related field is preferred but not required
- Degree is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with software (CDK, COUPA, UKG, etc) is a plus
