Job Description

Insight Global is assisting a client in identifying an Estate planning / Elder Law Attorney for a direct hire opportunity in Charlotte, NC with a growing firm. This firm is seeking an attorney to manage a case load of about 105+ hours including settlement and court room activity. This company operates with work life balance in mind for their employees as well as administrative support for initial intakes, billing, and collections for their attorneys. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct consultations with prospective clients to assess legal needs and recommend appropriate services.
Draft and review estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
Advise clients on elder law matters such as Medicaid planning, long-term care, and guardianship.
Collaborate with the Client Experience team to ensure exceptional service and communication.
Maintain accurate and timely billing records; meet monthly and quarterly billable hour goals.
Travel to nearby offices as needed to support client needs.
Work closely with other attorneys to share knowledge and strengthen firm-wide practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Licensed in North Carolina (dual licensure in South Carolina preferred).
3+ years of experience in estate planning and elder law.
Strong knowledge of estate and trust administration, Medicaid planning, and long-term care benefits.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to client service and attention to detail.
Proficiency in time tracking and billing systems.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

CELA certification is a bonus
Litigation experience in guardianship or estate disputes is a plus
Experience with Rocket Matter (case management system) or Box (file storage)
