Insight Global is seeking to hire a GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) Field Supervisor for one of our prominent energy clients located in Raleigh, NC. This candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of electrical installations at various manufacturing plants. This role includes the oversight of the commissioning/testing of specialized switching devices, such as phase synchronization devices and camera systems. Additionally, the Supervisor will lead a small team of technicians, providing expert insights and guidance as needed. Someone who has a strong understanding of electrical engineering, electrical schematics, installation instructions, and electrical testing, and can communicate well to customers and coworkers would be a great fit for this position!

4+ years relevant field experience Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent Knowledge of Gas Insulated Switchgear Ability to read electrical schematics/drawings and installation instructions Ability to communicate well with customers and managers Management/supervisorial experience - must be willing and able to direct a team Comfortable traveling across United States in order to complete projects Position requires around 80% travel
Knowledge of International standards/regulations (DIN, VDE, IEC, ASME) Professional knowledge on SF6 gas insulated switchgears
