Job Description

- Grant Writing Support: Assisting Principal Investigators (PIs) with the basics of grant writing and project outlines.
- Budget Management: Writing, formatting, and reviewing budgets, then sending them back for approval.
- Team Coordination: Finding interested PIs, organizing teams, and setting timelines.
- Draft Review: Reviewing and editing drafts of grant proposals.
- Submission Process: Handing off grants for submission.
Faculty Support: Helping faculty stay organized, find collaborators, and keep on schedule.
- Daily Collaboration: Working closely with faculty to keep them on task and solve any issues that arise during the grant writing process.

Required Skills & Experience

- Masters degree and a minimum of 2 years experience in research administration or a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 2-5 years experience.
- Experience with project management and/or project management software (MS project)
- experience with budgeting, grant writing, and grant management techniques

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working with Cayuse, Kuali, or other comparable system(s)
Experience communicating effectively with faculty, university administrators, and agency personnel.
