Job Description

The main role of the UX Data Researcher will be to create, send, and analyze surveys intended to learn about the player base of Epic Games core products.
Job Functions
Create surveys and trackers to support all Epic Games products and initiatives
Design questions that do not bias respondents
Use best practice methodologies to produce actionable, accurate, and representative data.
Advanced, survey focused, data visualizations (Tableau, Excel, Sheets)
Creating clear reports and dashboards based on surveys sent to players and users of Epics products.
Data queries (HIVE, Snowflake, Tableau)
Querying multiple types of databases and plugging data queries directly into tools like Tableau are essential for this role. These skills will be used to target audiences for survey sends, pull in additional analytics to identify respondents, and allow for advanced data visualizations.
Report writing and presenting data
Writing detailed and understandable reports that will speak to a variety of audiences across Epic Games.
Presenting data in meetings and providing additional relevant context where applicable.
Act as backup for all functions of current data researchers
Provide support to UX researchers on report creation that involves data visualization.
Quickly pivot with new data to ensure a constant flow of player insights are output as updated player survey data is received to ensure we are always reporting on timely and relevant findings.
Contribute to overall needs of the UXR team e.g. peer review, supporting other teams with survey expertise, etc.
Contribute survey expertise to assist others in the company with the creation of surveys.

Required Skills & Experience

2-3 years of data analysis and reporting experience.
2-3 years of experience using Tableau or PowerBi.
2-3 years of experience with SQL writing data queries
Proficient in data visualization and developing dashboards.
Experience in writing detailed reports and presenting data findings/analysis.
Strong in Excel or Google Sheets (vlookups, Pivot Tables).
Passion for video games/gaming in order to assist in writing and interpreting survey questions

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Advanced experience with a survey creation platform (QuestionPro, Qualtrics)
Snowflake or Data Bricks experience
College degree
