Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled F5 Engineer for one of our largest financial clients in a variety of markets. This person will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our F5 infrastructure. As an F5 Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our application delivery network. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect solutions, troubleshoot issues, and optimize our AVI/F5 environment to meet the evolving needs of our organization.



Responsibilities:

1. Design and Implementation: Collaborate with architecture and network teams to design and implement AVI/F5 solutions that align with business requirements and industry best practices.

2. Configuration Management: Configure and maintain AVI/F5 devices, including load balancers, application delivery controllers, and related components, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.

3. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve issues related to AVI/F5 infrastructure, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and security vulnerabilities.

4. Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues, as well as optimize AVI/F5 configurations for improved performance and efficiency.

5. Security Compliance: Ensure AVI/F5 infrastructure adheres to security policies and standards, implementing appropriate access controls, encryption protocols, and vulnerability mitigation strategies.

6. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation for AVI/F5 configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Provide training and knowledge transfer to IT teams and stakeholders as needed.

7. Vendor Management: Work closely with vendors to evaluate new technologies, procure hardware and software, and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.

8. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, developers, and project managers, to support the integration of AVI/F5 solutions

Required Skills & Experience

* 7+ years of experience as a F5 Engineer

* Proficiency designing, implementing, and managing F5 infrastructure in enterprise environments

* Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, VLANs, and routing protocols

* Experience and knowledge of vADC Architecture

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Experience with AVI infrastructure builds, upgrades and lifecycle management.

* Experience with virtual load balancers in a large cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
