An employer is looking to add a PostgreSQL DBA to their team. This person can sit in St. Louis, MO or Charlotte, NC and must be open to working on-site 3 days/week. This person needs to be proficient in MongoDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL. This person will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and maintaining our databases to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability. This role involves working closely with development teams to design and implement efficient database structures, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure data security and integrity.

Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with expertise in MongoDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
Strong understanding of database design principles.
Proficiency in database installation, configuration, and administration.
Hands-on experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies.
Experience with database security best practices and compliance requirements.
Experience and strong knowledge of building, automating and deploying instances in cloud and infrastructure environments on Amazon Web Service
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., MongoDB Certified DBA, PostgreSQL Certified Professional)
Experience with database clustering and replication technologies.
Knowledge of cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database, Google Cloud SQL).
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with database automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash).
Understanding of NoSQL databases and distributed systems concepts.
