Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a full-time Rotor Balancer for one of our large manufacturing clients in Charlotte, NC. This candidate will setup and align turbine-generator components for testing by installing tooling, pedestals, adapter plates, oil seals, bearings, calibrations, controls, fuel system, lube systems, etc. per job documentation, process or engineering assembly and testing specifications. In order to be successful in this role, the candidate must have strong math skills and must be able to pass a math competency/balancer exam.

Required Skills & Experience

- HS degree or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years of industrial-mechanical experience
- Extensive knowledge of shop mathematics and operations
- Experience working on and around some form of large "rotating machinery", i.e. large compressors, turbines, generators, or large engines such as aviation engines.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Fork truck or crane license or previous experience operating a forklift/crane
- Associates or Bachelors degree
