Job Description

Provide daily counseling on a broad array of employment-related issues

including recruitment and hiring, restrictive covenants,

discrimination/harassment/retaliation, leaves of absence, reasonable

accommodations, wage/hour, investigations, performance

management/discipline, terminations, reorganizations, reductions in force,

WARN, diversity and inclusion, workplace safety, executive compensation,

immigration, and international assignments

* Manage single plaintiff and class litigation, administrative charges, and

attorney demand letters in partnership with external counsel

* Conduct WARN assessments in partnership with external counsel

* Independently draft separation agreements and OWBPA disclosures

* Provide legal support in connection with traditional labor matters including

organizing campaigns and unfair labor practice charges

* Draft, interpret, and enforce employment, separation, non-competition,

confidentiality, and consulting agreements

* Create, conduct, and implement training and education for HR and business

partners on a variety of labor and employment-related topics

Required Skills & Experience

J.D. from an accredited law school

* 7+ years of substantive and significant labor and employment counseling on

all aspects of the employment relationship, as well as litigation experience

* Flexible, proactive, team-oriented individual with highly effective

collaboration and communication skills

* Ability to quickly, effectively, and clearly provide strategic, business-focused

advice and counsel in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with shifting

priorities

* Ability to think strategically, work independently, make recommendations for

process improvement, and drive matters to favorable outcomes

* Ability and desire to work with all levels of HR and business partners

* Supervisory and management skills with the ability to oversee projects

delegated to in-house legal staff and outside counsel

* Experience with Windows applications and proficient with Word, Excel,

PowerPoint, Outlook, Legal Tracker, SharePoint, and miscellaneous internal

system

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

2+ years in-house experience

* Mix of substantive law firm and in-house, hands-on labor and employment

experience
