Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an environmental monitoring technician to support a pharmaceutical companies new manufacturing site in Raleigh, NC. This individual holding the position of EM Technician II shall be responsible for performing routine environmental monitoring to assess the viable and nonviable particulate levels within classified manufacturing rooms, critical utilities and controlled environments.



* Conduct viable and nonviable environmental monitoring throughout facility, including aseptic processing areas and classified manufacturing areas (Compounding, Component Preparation, Vial Wash, and Dispensary). Aseptically collect, incubate, examine plates, and record results.

* Aseptically collect samples from critical utility systems (water, clean steam, and gases) and submit for testing.

* Accurately evaluate and record results of testing performed; promptly report any discrepancies or out of limit conditions to Supervisor.

* Accurately enter EM data in LIMS.

* May perform additional responsibilities including water testing, BI testing, and data review.

* Perform Aseptic Gowning Training and certification sampling.

* Perform Bioburden and Endotoxin testing on collected water samples.

* Initiate TrackWise records and complete initial impact assessments on nonconformances.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor of Science degree in a life science or associates

- Direct work experience (1-3 yrs)

- Ability to work weekends
