Job Description
Responsibilities:
* Provide Technical Architecture leadership to shape the data council and be accountable for the technical outcome of the data council's decisions
* Own review of data models, data taxonomy and associated data domains, metadata, and business critical data to execute processes across the data control environment
* Ensure the control of data content is precise and unambiguous and the use of data is consistent and transparent
* Be Data Architecture counterpart to work with solutions and domains architects to ensure alignment of business, data and technology to support the desired business process outcomes include data management processes and technology infrastructure.
* Develop and recommend data architecture components in support of data catalogs, data governance, data pipelines and storage.
* Support structured data, including database and file-based data management strategies, to enable effective application of retention policies and reduce sprawl of data.
* Leverage data modeling techniques to design semantic and ontological models that enhance data understanding and alignment with business concepts.
* Work closely with data stewards, data analysts, and other teams to ensure data models support current and future data management needs.

* Operate as a trusted advisor for data transformation and machine learning ecosystem, helping to shape use cases and implementation in an integrated manner
Required Skills & Experience
Basic Qualifications:
* Experience Running and/or being the primary SME for data Governance in architecture data governance review.
* 8+ years of enterprise data architecture experience, including enterprise data architecture understanding aligned to domain taxonomy
* Experience with core data services, including maintaining data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, relational and dimensional modeling, data quality, and master data management
* Excellent data management and data governance skills
* Experience Aligning DCAM Framework with Data and Business Architecture Deliverables
* 8+ years of experience with architectural patterns, involved in building APIs, microservices, event streams, and high throughput systems
* Experience as lead data architect design enterprise data migrations and transformations
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business needs.
* 4 years of experience working within the AWS ecosystem and Snowflake
* Understanding of how to design and implement Data Mesh Solutions
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Preferred
* Minimum 10 years of data engineering experience, with knowledge of Agile development process
* Experience architecting and developing large scale MDM, data warehousing, data lake and data integration projects
* Experience with Data governance tools e.g. Alation, Collibra
* Experience in performance monitoring and performance tuning
* AWS Certification in Data Analytics, AI/ML and/or Database Specialty
* Bachelors' Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
* Experience in financial, payment processing or other regulated domain is a plus
* Experience in transformational initiatives, re-imaging on-prem data footprint (tech, data) to the cloud
