An employer is seeking an API Back End Developer for a large automotive client sitting fully remote. This person will be owning all the API's helping to build and maintain everything on the backend. Responsibilities include:
* Maintain existing eCommerce and Digital applications to meet the ever-evolving demands of the business
* Partner with vendors and technology teams to drive our global Digital technology solutions
* Provide input to architect and front-end developers on Node.js and API development solutions
* Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, and the University Data Services (UDS) project team to identify, develop, document, and deliver API's
* Design, develop, test and implement APIs for use in software applications
* Integrate with and contribute to assigned API
* Analyze, design, and coordinate the development of major components of the audience management system and downstream APIs including hands on implementation, testing, review, build automation, and documentation
* Troubleshoot operational issues as required
* Ensure coding best practices and test coverage through peer reviewing
* Develop new APIs for use by the marketing development team
* 3-5 years of experience in NodeJS or related server-side frameworks
* Experience in designing and building REST APIs based on the business requirements
* Expertise in building and troubleshooting SQL queries and knowledge of MySQL database
* Good knowledge of client-server architecture, web servers, and ability to communicate the server functionalities with the peers
* Highly knowledgeable in Git commands and code repositories management (GitHub)
* Ability to troubleshoot complex programs and systems to help support teams
* Experience with Terraform
* Solid Docker knowledge
* Expert with AWS
