Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a full-time eCommerce Software Engineer on behalf of a client in Charlotte, NC. This person will architect, design, and develop solutions within a multi-functional Agile team to support business priority for HCL the Commerce application. They will collaborate with UX designers, business solutions, product owners, and data services teams to design and discover functional, architectural, and quality requirements and assist in leading a team of off-shore resources to include educating and promoting the use of best practices, while designing principles and frameworks to resolve issues, and sharing domain and technical expertise to mentor and cross-train peers and team members. They will be responsible for conducting design and code reviews of developed solutions and unit tests for optimization, participate in deployment process and design discussions with teams. A successful candidate will have extensive experience with customizations of an HCL eCommerce application.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree

5+ years of experience working with HCL/WebSphere B2B or similar commerce platform



Working knowledge of the following:

Catalog/Promotions/Marketing data model

- Data Load utility

- Stage prop utility

- Builder in HCL/WebSphere B2B Commerce

Experience with performance analysis and troubleshooting

Experience identifying and providing solutions to optimize application performance

Experience with relational databases

Knowledge of source code management systems

Experience with the following:

- REST API

- SOAP web services

- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

-Java/J2EE based customer-facing application

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

HCL/WebSphere B2B

* Commerce v7.x, 8.x and/or v9.x
