Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Calibration Technician to join one of their customers located in Raleigh, NC. This role is located onsite in Raleigh but also requires about 25% travel to customer sites. The travel will be within a 75mi radius of Raleigh, and usually only a day or two away onsite, with occasional week-long trips to support customers. All travel expenses are paid for and company car is provided for traveling locally as well. Day to day, the calibration technician will be performing calibration and repair on various electronic and electro-mechanical M&TE (measuring and test equipment), as well as following industry standards (ISO), policies and procedures, and specifications for accurate calibration. All repairs and calibrations must be documented properly and verified. The technician should have a strong understanding of uncertainties and tolerances (TAR -- accuracy ratio and TAU -- uncertainty ratio), and general familiarity with ISO9001/ISO17025. This person should also be knowledgeable on how to use and program multimeters to include Keysight's 3458A and Fluke's 8588A, and comfortability with various electronic equipment: Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Data Loggers, Hipot Testers, Clamp Meters, Power Supplies, Pressure/Vacuum, Temperature/Humidity, Time interval and Frequency Counters. The hours for this role is 7am-4pm, Monday-Friday, with overtime as needed with travel.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3-5 years in calibration or metrology position, or PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Course) Course

- Familiarity with ISO/IEC17025 (A2LA/NVLAP) Accreditation and ISO9001

- Familiarity with tolerances and uncertainties

- Knowledge of various electronic equipment such as: multimeters, oscilloscopes, data loggers, hipot testers, temperature/humidity, etc.

- Comfortability traveling as needed (roughly 25%), mainly within 75mi of main office location

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Associates or Bachelors in Electronics, Metrology, or similar

Previous military experience is a plus
