An enterprise financial client is seeking a Production Support Specialist to join their team. This team falls within the Application Production Support & Engineering organization. The reason for this role being open is that this team is made up of mostly mainframe personnel but have been recently onboarding distributed applications that use autosys to run/deploy jobs. This person will help bridge the gap between the mainframe and distributed team members and should be someone that really understands how to analyze logs and perform root cause analysis to ensure that the development teams know the issues with their applications as it pertains to Datastage. The current platform pulls data from db2 tables to memsql using datastage. On a day to day, this candidate will spend 60-70% of their time responding to support requests and the other time in meetings & collaborating with the team. This role will have an onsite requirement of 3 days/week in either Charlotte NC, Plano TX, or Pennington NJ.
- 5+ years in a Production Support/Application Support role
- 3+ years of experience with Datastage ETL tool
- Strong experience working within MemSQL database
- Knowledge of APIs
