Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Jr. Data Analyst for a Fortune 500 heavy-equipment rental company to sit onsite in Charlotte, NC. This Data Analyst will collaborate with the IT and Network Operations leadership and the newly formed Network Operations Center (NOC) to define and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The NOC team supports networking systems globally for 1500+ company locations.



On a day-to-day basis, this Analyst will spend 60% of their time pulling and analyzing data from multiple systems, aligning that data with and generating reports on telecom vendor service-level agreements, and identifying where those vendors stand on KPIs. Examples of vendors include AT&T, Verizon, and Polaris, and an example of a KPI is time to repair an incident. They will use this data to identify where network service vendors are exceeding or missing SLAs to help get credits back. The other 40% of their day will be dedicated to managing and administrating all NOC tools (NMS, NPM, ITSM, etc.), coordinating routine maintenance on monitoring systems and applications, configuring alerts and scheduling tasks and deployments. Tasks can include creating users, removing users, and updating reports.

Required Skills & Experience

1-3 years of data analysis experience with reporting and documentation using SQL

Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, macros, etc.)

Associate's degree or comparable work experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with WhatsUp Gold (or other network monitoring platforms)

Experience with Cisco SmartNet (or other contract management software)
