Insight Global is looking for a Java Developer to join a financial company in Charlotte, NC. This person will be working alongside a small innovative team with the goals to come up with new technology for the company. This person will be working in a Java ecosystem and responsible for building APIs and Microservices. This person will be working within an AWS environment and services such as AWS lambda, S3, Memory DB. This person will be working on a critical application for the company.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's in Engineering/Computer science
7+ years of total software development experience.
5+ years Hands-on experience in design, development, testing and operational support of Java, J2EE, JMS, SOAP, SQL, JSON, XML based applications.
Experience with working with Business Partners to understand the business processes, requirements and drive the design/development of solutions with application Dev Teams
Good Understanding of Object-Oriented design and development
Experience with Java based frameworks: JPA, Springboot, Spring framework.
Experience in AWS (API Gateway, IAM, S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Aurora, Glue, DynamoDB, EKS, Docker)
Experience with Microservices and design patterns.
Experience in application containerization, familiar with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Platform9, ECS, EKS, Openshift, Cloud Foundry
Experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) with understanding of Web Services (REST and SOAP)
Experience with Spring, Hibernate etc.
Good SQL and database knowledge (Oracle/Postgres)
Experience with Kafka, message brokers
Experience with JBoss Studio, Eclipse and/similar IDE tools
Knowledge of build/dependency management tools such as Maven, SCM (Subversion, Bit Bucket)
Agile Scrum experience., while displaying familiarity/experience with other SDLC approaches
Demonstrated team player
Individual demonstrates core values.
Knowledge of Agile system development life cycle, and system and application program development.
