Role: System Engineer
Duration: 3Months CTH
Location: Remote NC
Rate: 105/HR Max

Job Description
Develop new features and integrations to existing Event Management platform and Monitoring Tools.
Identify opportunities for event correlation and automation using data from Watson AIOps/Netcool NOI in coordination with our support teams.
Participate in initiatives and projects to develop new and existing monitoring platforms
Administer and troubleshoot existing monitoring applications and servers
Identify and create automations that can be utilized by the monitoring infrastructure
Develop and maintain documentation for our tools and work with our frontline engineers to ensure they can address most common issues with our platform.
Work with internal compliance organizations to ensure that all applications meet requirements
Provide occasional 3rd level off hours support for monitoring and event management tools
Experience administering IBM suite of enterprise monitoring and event management tools such as IBM Watson AIOps Netcool Operations Insight NOI SevOne etc
Extensive knowledge of various monitoring technologies such as SNMP ICMP syslog MIBs as well as other agent and agentless technologies
Familiarity with systems network and application monitoring concepts
Experience with scripting particularly Python and/or PERL
Linux Administration experience
Network connectivity troubleshooting experience. Understand network protocols TCP/IP HTTP ICMP
Familiarity with REST APIs and Webhooks
5 working with an enterprise monitoring application to monitor network devices and servers.
5 systems administration Linux/Windows
Experience administering IBM Watson/Netcool/NOI
Experience working with databases and writing SQL queries
Experience working with data center operations teams
Experience in managing or supporting a large enterprise network with business-critical applications
Experience working with third party vendors for application support
Engineer as part of a team of other Watson AIOps/Netcool and monitoring engineers.
Actively participate in day-to-day support of tools and project efforts for client environments
Participate in cross functional teams to foster collaboration within and outside of global operations
Create concise and accurate technical documentation for consumption throughout organization
Establish standards and thresholds for monitoring and auditing to ensure stable and supportable operating infrastructures
Drive service improvements and efficiencies through the design and development of effective automation
Participate and collaborate with operations management teams to provide root-cause analysis for all client outages and failed changes in the environment
Review audit and performance results to facilitate proper capacity planning and service management
Follow and promote the use of global process standards
Strong interpersonal skills that drive collaboration and promote a productive and creative work environment
Ability to effectively communicate with clients peers and management
Ability to develop and maintain internal and external professional relationships
Ability to drive projects independently with only minimal direction.
Desire to learn new skills in a continuously evolving environment.
Knowledge deep understanding and great Experience of IT /Software/IBM Watson is Required
Specialized knowledge certification in IBM Watson is Huge plus
One should have experience of Guiding providing Training to End Users around IBM Watson

The candidate must be a computer systems analyst computer programmer software engineer or other similarly
skilled worker in the computer field performing the duties described below The application of IBM Watson
analysis techniques and procedures including consulting with users to determine hardware software or system
