Job Description
Insight Global is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Electrical Technician. The successful candidate will coordinate housekeeping/safety efforts, be part of a team that performs maintenance on, repairs and improves the equipment as well as supporting the overall operation of the steel making process. Safely maintain electrical equipment and components throughout a steel manufacturing plant, including electrical and electronic equipment and components, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). This includes, but is not limited to: troubleshooting and repairs, cooperating with and supporting operations, aggressively pursuing process improvements, assisting with documentation and training for all equipment, and other duties as assigned. Safety is the most important part of all jobs; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Required Skills & Experience
* 4+ years of heavy industrial electrical maintenance experience
* Associates or Bachelor's degree in engineering (or experience)
* Troubleshooting exp with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and VFD (Variable Frequency Drives)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Experience leading a team
* U.S. Navy Nuclear Electronics Technician Experience
