Materials Manager, Networking & Hardware

Insight Global is seeking a Materials Manager, Networking & Hardware for a cutting-edge AI infrastructure client. This individual will own the strategy and supply management of critical networking hardware that supports large-scale AI and data center deployments. The ideal candidate has experience sourcing and managing networking infrastructure such as switches, routers, DPUs, and related hardware while partnering directly with major OEMs to secure supply and capacity. This person will negotiate supplier agreements, manage hardware lifecycle planning, support dual-source initiatives, and work closely with engineering teams to ensure networking infrastructure is available when needed. This is a highly strategic opportunity to help build and scale next-generation AI infrastructure by ensuring networking hardware never becomes a bottleneck to deployment.

- Direct experience sourcing or managing networking hardware at scale, including switches, routers, DPUs, or related infrastructure
- Experience working directly with major networking OEMs and suppliers
- Experience negotiating pricing, lead times, supply agreements, and capacity commitments
- Strong understanding of networking technologies, including optics, ASICs, port speeds, and networking infrastructure
- Experience managing hardware lifecycle planning, including generation transitions and end-of-life (EOL) products
- Experience supporting large-scale data center, cloud, AI, or high-performance computing (HPC) environments

- AI or HPC fabric networking experience
- White-box networking or ODM supplier experience
- Optics supply chain experience
- Vendor financing or structured procurement experience
- Experience building and managing dual-source supplier strategies
- Data center networking procurement experience
- Supplier performance management using scorecards and KPIs
- Experience supporting hyperscale infrastructure deployments
