Job Description
The Sales Manager will lead Willdan’s New York City energy‑efficiency sales team, overseeing daily performance, documentation accuracy, and compliance with utility‑sponsored programs. This role manages a team of lead generators and energy advisors (currently four, expanding to 1–2 more) and is responsible for driving sales results, coaching staff, and ensuring high‑quality customer engagement.
The Sales Manager provides ongoing training, supports consultative selling techniques, manages sales pipelines, and ensures all program documentation is completed accurately and on time. This role also coordinates closely with Willdan’s centralized operations, accounting, marketing, and IT teams, as well as subcontractors who perform field work. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of sales management experience leading and developing sales teams
Strong energy efficiency knowledge
Familiarity with Con Edison, National Grid, or similar utility incentive programs
Understanding of incentive program structures, documentation workflows, and compliance
Experience training and coaching sales teams
Ability to manage pipelines, quotas, and performance metrics
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
HVAC technical skills or experience selling HVAC‑related solutions
