Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Python Developer to join their team. Daily responsibilities will include working alongside developers, architects, and AI/ML leaders to build and enhance internal AI-powered applications and automation tools. The role is highly hands-on and focused on engineering rather than strategy. As a Python Engineer, you will design and develop robust, cloud-native systems that power intelligent automation and decision-making. You will be a hands-on problem solver—building APIs, Azure Functions, and event-driven services that form the backbone of scalable, AI-ready enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have 7–10+ years of professional software development experience in backend or full-stack engineering specifically with Python, AI development experience, experience in Azure cloud, and experience working in a fast paced large enterprise environment. Candidates must have worked on development for large complex projects. This role is hybrid 3 days in the office 3 days remote and must me local to Tampa- FL, Boston, MA, Chicago- IL, New York- NY, or Atlanta- GA. This role is a 6- month contract with intention to go perm after the contract duration.

Required Skills & Experience
· 7–10+ years of professional software development experience in backend or full-stack engineering.
· Strong proficiency in Python, with strong knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming principles.
· Experience with Python development for large, complex projects (2+ years).
· Hands-on experience developing and deploying Azure Functions, APIs, and event-driven systems.
· Experience integrating with databases and designing data interaction layers for performance and scalability.
· Solid understanding of microservices, serverless architectures, and distributed systems.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Exposure or experience to AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, RAG, and orchestration tools like LangChain, AutoGen, or Semantic Kernel.
· Experience with specifically Azure cloud.
