Job Description
Steam Plant Systems Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to support electrical engineering efforts across steam and gas generating stations. This role is responsible for performing advanced power system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and protective relay coordination studies, while supporting the design, specification, and lifecycle management of plant electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with transformers, switchgear, breakers, generators, cables, and motor control systems in a utility or heavy industrial environment.
This individual will serve as a key technical resource across engineering and operations teams, driving system reliability through condition assessments, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. The role also includes project responsibilities such as developing specifications, supporting procurement, overseeing testing and commissioning, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors. The selected candidate must be a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively across organizations, and maintain a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and engineering excellence in active plant environments.
