Job Description

• 8+ years in Disaster Recovery, IT Operations, or Service Management
• Hands-on experience leading DR events or recovery execution
• Strong understanding of:
○ Application tiering & dependencies
○ Infrastructure and cloud recovery strategies
○ Business continuity concepts
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams during high-pressure situations
• Strong communication skills (comfortable with leadership updates)
Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
- Experience creating runbooks, table top delivery and technical dress rehearsals

Required Skills & Experience

Role Summary
This role owns enterprise disaster recovery execution and readiness, ensuring critical systems and applications can be restored quickly and effectively during outages or declared disasters. This person will lead recovery events, testing, and governance across a large, tiered environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Serve as Active/Backup Responder on Duty (AROD/BROD) during disaster events (rotational on-call)
• Lead disaster recovery activation and execution when events are declared
• Coordinate recovery across infrastructure, application, cybersecurity, and vendor teams
• Run real-time recovery command calls and track decisions, dependencies, and progress
• Ensure all DR plans and runbooks are current, tested, and executable
• Partner with app owners to validate recovery and confirm service restoration
• Plan and lead DR testing, tabletop exercises, and simulations
• Track audit requirements, compliance, and DR readiness metrics
• Drive post-event reviews and remediation tracking

Bachelors Degree Required
